Police are investigating after two people were injured following a home invasion in the 600 block of South Pacific early Saturday morning.

Staff Sgt. Todd Cox said the two residents, a 23-year-old female and a 37-year-old male, say three males entered their home around 4 a.m. The woman was struck in the head with a weapon, suffering a one-inch cut, said Cox. She also possibly suffered a broken hand and was taken to the hospital where she is being treated for non-life threatening injuries, said Cox.

The male resident received several injuries to his back and was taken to the hospital where he was treated and released, said Cox. The man claims he was stabbed but police haven’t confirmed this, said Cox.

A knife and a bat are believed to be weapons the attackers used during the home invasion, according to Cox.

The suspects stole a large quantity of jewelry from the residence and were seen driving away in an older white two-door pickup truck with an extended cab, said Cox. The residents do not know the suspects and police are investigating whether this was a random or targeted attack, according to Cox.

The first suspect is described as a white male, 30-40 years old, six feet tall and 220 pounds. The second suspect is described as a male, unknown race, around 5 foot 8, and wearing a dark mask with dark clothing. The third suspect is described as a white male, around 40-60 years old with long wavy grey hair.

Anyone with any information is urged to contact police at 519- 255-6700, ext. 4830, or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at (519)-258-TIPS (8477).
