Police have tested a suspicious powder found in a safety deposit box at the National Bank and determined it was not dangerous.
Bank staff opened the safety deposit box after the person renting it failed to pay the bill and discovered the powder, police said.
The Explosives Device Unit secured the scene at Pitt Street and Ouellette Avenue Wednesday afternoon and cleared it at about 4 p.m.
