A fire-related incident at Chrysler’s minivan plant forced the partial evacuation of the second floor Thursday, says Windsor Fire.
LouAnn Gosselin, speaking on behalf of the Chrysler Assembly Plant, said a team of workers saw smoke coming from a new heating source, and Windsor Fire was called in to investigate the source of the smoke.
Windsor Fire tweeted there had been a partial evacuation of second floor, but no disruption to production.
Fire crews quickly contained the incident and no injuries were reported.
Chrysler security said the fire department was called at approximately 11:30a.m., arrived about six minutes later, and remained on the scene for 35-40 minutes.
