Police are investigating after shots were fired at a residence in central Windsor early Saturday morning.
The incident occurred at about 2 a.m. in the 800 block of Langlois Avenue, said Staff Sgt. Todd Cox.
Police responded to the scene after receiving reports that several gunshots had been heard in the area, said Cox.
Shots had been fired at the front door of the residence, said Cox, and several casings were found out front of the residence.
A 48-year-old man was home alone at the time and was uninjured, said Cox.
Police say a man was seen fleeing the scene by foot after the gunshots were fired. He is described by police as a while male, around six feet tall, medium build, and wearing a dark coat with blue jeans.
“Officers searched the area and at this point no one has been arrested for the offence,” said Cox. “We’re still investigating it.”
It is unknown at this point if this was a random or targeted attack, said Cox.
Police are asking anyone with any information to contact detectives at 519-255-6700 ext. 4830 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 519-258-TIPS (8477).
