Tourism Windsor Essex Pelee Island opened the first of three new travel information centres Friday in the Devonshire Mall.
The area’s tourism bureau will also add a location at the Pelee Island Winery at 455 Seacliff Drive in Kingsville June 18 and one at Windsor’s Riverfront Festival Plaza Stage June 24.
“We’ve leveraged our partnerships to create the centres as part of our revamped visitor service delivery model, which includes our Caesars Windsor and Home Office locations,” said Gordon Orr, CEO of the local tourism organization.
“When one door closed, three more opened.
“We’ve turned the closing of our Huron Church location into a comprehensive expansion of our visitor services delivery model, making it easier for my team to provide tourism services and information to our region’s visitors.”
The new location at the mall is front of the Cineplex and HMV store.
