It’s hot and sunny outside but the Downtown Windsor Business Improvement Association is already thinking about winter.
With ample lead time, the second annual downtown Winter Fest is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 30.
DWBIA chairman Larry Horwitz said the response to last year’s Winter Fest was “astounding.”
“We were thrilled and amazed at the reception we received, and we will again attempt to exceed every expectation,” Horwitz said in a media release Friday.
Winter Fest’s hasty launch last year was not without some controversy. Some Windsorites fretted its Santa Claus parade would thin out the crowds at the Olde Sandwich Santa Claus parade. The 2012 edition of Winter Fest also included an outdoor market, horse-drawn carriage rides and Christmas carol singers.
