Three people have been taken to hospital following a multi-vehicle crash near Highway 3 and the Arner Townline.
The crash happened around 11:15 a.m. and involved a Coco Paving dump truck, a pick-up truck and two cars.
Three people were taken to hospital, including a firefighter who got hydraulic fluid in his eyes.
The nature of the other injuries are unknown at this time.
Sue Renaud, of Essex Home Furnishings which is located at that intersection, said traffic is quickly backing up along Highway 3.
Police are directing motorists off of the highway and into the Town of Essex.
All lanes of Highway 3 are closed between the Arner Townline and Victoria Avenue.
Renaud said firefighters, paramedics and police officers were quickly on scene.
Avoid the area if possible.
