Starting Monday, many commuters will run into orange construction signs on east end roads until late fall.

According to an Enwin spokesperson, Riverside Drive East will be reduced to one lane for about three weeks starting in early September for watermain repairs.

Work on the busy waterfront roadway between Bertha and Martinique Avenues is scheduled to start Monday, but won’t affect traffic until September, Enwin said Friday.

Crews will also be working on Bertha Avenue, a dead-end residential side street just past Riverdale Avenue near Lakeview Park Marina.

The city said lane reductions on Walker and Tecumseh Roads will continue into fall as well.

It expects lane closures on Walker between Division to Ledyard Roads to wrap up by mid-November.

Pavement repairs along Tecumseh Road East between Westminster and Rivard Avenues should be done by Sept. 30, along with work on Ottawa Street between Pierre and Moy Avenues.
