Police have released a security camera recording of a tall man who robbed a Shoppers Drug Mart in South Windsor earlier this month.
The crime occurred around 10 p.m. on Aug. 10 at the Shoppers at 3175 Howard Ave., across the street from Devonshire Mall.
A store employee said he was ringing up the items of a male customer with a bandana around his neck when the man showed a knife and demanded cash.
After taking a small quantity of cash, the robber left on foot, heading south toward the McDonald’s restaurant.
Officers searched the area with a police dog, but came up empty.
The robber is described as a black male about six foot five or six foot six.
At the time of the crime, he was wearing grey jogging pants, a brown hooded sweatshirt and a black bandana.
He spoke with a stuttering Jamaican accent and had stubble on his face.
