Amherstburg firefighters are asking for help to make a child’s Christmas morning a little brighter.
Firefighters will collect new, unwrapped toys along the Amherstburg Santa Claus Parade route Saturday beginning at 6 p.m., as well as at the town’s three fire stations, as part of their Stuff-a-Firetruck toy drive.
Donations accepted Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Station 1 on Sandwich Street South, anytime at Station 2, 3400 Middle Sideroad and Mondays from 6:45 to 7:15 p.m. at Station 3, 6744 Concession 6 S.
Toys for children of all ages, except for stuffed animals, will be distributed by the Amherstburg Goodfellows on Dec. 23.
