A suspect is in custody and Wyandotte Street has reopened near Cameron Avenue after a ‘distraught’ individual barricaded themselves in an apartment unit for several hours Tuesday morning.
At least 10 police cruisers were on the scene shortly before 8 a.m. along with the bomb disposal unit truck and the mobile police command bus. The activity was focused on an apartment building south of Wyandotte on the east side of Cameron, where Cameron dead-ends into a storage yard.

Police received a call about the distraught person about 3 a.m. said Windsor police Sgt. Matt D’Asti at the scene. Police then converged on the area and set up a wide security perimeter.
The situation was resolved and the suspect taken into custody shortly before 9 a.m.
There were no reports of weapons, said D’Asti, but police proceeded with an abundance of caution.
