Ojibway Parkway is blocked following a collision between a truck and a utility pole that knocked power lines to the ground.

Westbound E.C. Row is blocked from Huron Church Road to Sprucewood Avenue and a small portion of E.C. Row eastbound is closed as well. Traffic on Huron Church is congested and expected to be that way until at least 9 p.m., said police.

Windsor police are advising motorists to expect delays and to steer clear of the area.

The collision occurred shortly before 4 p.m. when a transport truck slammed into a utility pole at Ojibway and Broadway.

The impact split the pole in two and part of it came to rest on the idled rig, which was emblazoned with a logo reading FFE Transportation Services.

Emergency crews were waiting for utility crews to cut power before approaching the truck.
