Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Windsor and Essex County, warning of a “sharp cold front” that could see windchill temperatures as low as -35 C by Tuesday morning.
The Windsor area could receive between two and four centimetres of snow by the end of Sunday and is forecast to be battered by strong and gusty southwesterly winds peaking at 70 km/h.
An Arctic air mass will then settle in over the region, making for a cold week. The high will be -10 C Monday, -12 C Tuesday, -11 C Wednesday, and -9 C on both Thursday and Friday.
