The downtown Farmer’s Market is set to receive an injection of fresh funding, thanks to the Downtown Windsor Business Improvement Association.
The organization announced Tuesday that it will continue its financial support of the market, which operates from June to October at Charles Clark Square, with a donation of $3,000. Donations from the business improvement group to the market now total over $49,000.
“The DWBIA believes that the Farmer’s Market is a vibrant place alive with residents and visitors and bustling with social and economic activity,” said the group’s chairman, Larry Horwitz. “The Farmer’s Market contributes to our quality of life.”
He added the market also encourages consumers to support other downtown businesses.
