Windsor police are on the hunt for a boy around 10-years-old after a fire broke out at an east end Dollarama Monday night.
Firefighters were called to the store at 8460 Wyandotte St. E. around 8:15 p.m. for reports of a fire inside the store.
Witnesses told police they observed a young boy on his hands and knees coming from around the corner near the back of the store.
The fire was then discovered in that corner by a witness near candles and floral necklaces.
The witness and a store employee proceeded to “stomp out” the blaze and the store was evacuated.
Police said the boy fled on foot and damage is estimated at about $1,000.
The suspect is described as a white male around 10-years-old with dirty blond hair. He is about four-feet tall and was wearing a baseball hat.
Police will be looking at a surveillance video from the store in an attempt to identify the youth.
