Volunteers needed for 55+ summer games

Organizers for this year’s Ontario 55+ Summer Games are looking for volunteers to assist with registration, opening and closing ceremonies, medical and technical services and other duties.

The Games are expected to attract 1,400 participants to the host communities of Windsor and Amherstburg from Aug. 19 to 21. Competitors, 55 years of age and older, will vie for medals in 18 events at 12 venues.

Volunteers must commit to a minimum six-hour shift during the event, plus attend a training session.
