Local philanthropist and businessman Al Quesnel presented the final installment of his $100,000 donation to Windsor Regional Hospital’s Toldo Neurobehavioural Institute today.

Bell also donated $28,000 to the hospital’s family mental health program via its “Let’s Talk” community fund.

With these latest donations the hospital’s $7.5 million capital campaign has reached its goal.

“Bell is extremely pleased to lend our support to Windsor Regional Hospital and the 59 other community organizations across the country that are part of the Bell Let’s Talk Community Fund this year,” Mary Deacon, chair of the Bell Let’s Talk mental health initiative, said in a statement.  “These groups are truly making a difference at the grassroots level.”

Quesnel, who established a chain of health clubs in the region, supports numerous charities including World Vision and Boys and Girls Clubs. Most notably, he funded schools and feeding programs in post-earthquake Haiti and established the Outreach for Haiti Foundation.

On Thursday the Do Good Divas donated $50,000 to the hospital as well.
