A winter weather advisory is in effect for the Windsor and Essex County area from 1 p.m. Wednesday to 7 a.m. Thursday, according to WDIV’s Dopplar Radar website.
Snow is expected to develop near the Ohio border Wednesday afternoon. This snowfall will become moderate to briefly heavy at times through the evening hours. The snow will taper off in intensity and coverage after midnight.
Total snowfall accumulations of 10 to 15 cm (four to six inches) are expected.
Brisk northeast winds up to 50 km/h (30 mph) will also cause blowing and drifting snow, along with reduced visibility of a half kilometre or less.
