A mother and artist, grateful for the educational experience her children have received, has donated one of her original works to Bellewood public school.
Colleen Seto, who has two children at the school, was on hand Wednesday for the official unveiling of her painting entitled Curiosity, which in four panels, depicts children exploring an outdoor landscape. The massive work has been placed in the school’s foyer where it will be visible from the street through the plate glass windows at the front of the building.
“It’s incredible and her talent is unbelievable,” said vice-principal Andrea Fischer, noting the work took Seto four years to paint. “That she would take the time to do this for our school in quite amazing.”
“I was proud to donate it,” said Seto. “It reflects the children so they can use their own imagination and see themselves in it.”
