Windsor police were called in to assist after a group of women carried their weekend revelry onto the train ride home.
Via Rail employees told Windsor police that six women, aged 23 to 52-years-old, were belligerent on the train and spouted derogatory and homophobic slurs.
Police said the women had travelled to Toronto for a “girls’ weekend” to see a stage production and had started to consume alcohol on their train ride home.
Via employees said the women were noisy, disruptive and argumentative. At one point, employees said the women were walking up and down the aisles screaming after they had been cut off from being served alcohol.
The train employees indicated to police that they wanted the six women banned from Via Rail.
Windsor police assisted by removing the women from the train.
