Windsor police Const. Aaron Naklie pleaded guilty to discreditable conduct Monday afternoon and loses 24 hours of pay.
Naklie admitted wrongdoing when he lectured a motorist, who had driven through an accident scene and been the participant in a road rage incident, about his dangerous driving. He warned the young male that if he kept it up, he’d kill someone or be killed himself. He also told the driver that if he was caught by police at a road rage incident and charged a police officer that officer might be forced to draw his gun.
Naklie faces a discipline hearing on a charge of misconduct for using inappropriate language.
Naklie is an eight-year veteran of the force and was a part-time special constable before become a police cadet in 2005.
Superintendent Morris Elbers flew into Windsor from Toronto Monday.
More to come.
