Windsor police are investigating after an 18-year-old woman was sexually assaulted on her way home from work Wednesday night.
Police said the woman was crossing the front lawn of Kennedy high school towards Jackson Park around 10:30 p.m. when she was confronted by a man with a knife and sexually assaulted.
The suspect then fled on foot, heading north towards Windsor Avenue.
The victim was taken to hospital with unknown injuries.
Police responded to the scene and were able to locate the knife.
The suspect is described as a man, about 25 to 30-years-old with an average build. He’s about five-foot 10, five-foot 11-inches and has black hair which may have been pulled back.
The suspect had thick dark eyebrows and was wearing a black sleeveless t-shirt and shorts.
Police believe there were two joggers in the area who may have seen the incident.
