Windsor police have made another arrest for Project Traveller — the sweeping operation to disrupt criminal activity involving drugs, guns and gangs between Detroit and Toronto.

The arrest was made in the downtown core around 1:20 a.m. Saturday.

Officers were patrolling the 300 block of Ouellette Avenue when they noticed the subject — a 27-year-old local man who is described as being “known to police.”

A computer check showed that there was an outstanding arrest warrant for the man in relation to Project Traveller.

The individual was arrested without incident. He’s been taken to Toronto for court proceedings.

It was the 10th Windsor arrest to involve Project Traveller. There were nine others last week.

Toronto and Windsor police have been working together on the operation, which has led to at least 44 arrests and 300 charges in total.

The identities of the accused and the charges specific to them have yet to be released by police.
