Hydro One is reporting power is now restored to most of the more than 6,000 customers who were affected by a strong line of severe storms that rolled through the area late Saturday afternoon.
As of about 7:30 p.m., there were still about 400 without power across Windsor-Essex.
Amherstburg and Lakeshore were hit the hardest by the storms, with about 3,400 customers losing power in the Lakeshore area and about 2,400 affected in Amherstburg.
Hydro One crews were dispatched immediately following the storms to restore power to customers. Restoration efforts are expected to be complete by 9 p.m. Saturday.
Environment Canada ended a severe thunderstorm warning for Windsor and Essex County at about 5:30 p.m. after issuing the warning about a half hour earlier.
