Kids, coaches play ball for charity in 100-inning game

The Riverside Minor Baseball Association hosted its second annual 100-inning charity game on Friday and Saturday.

The Riverside diamonds were used throughout the day by teams of all ages despite the sweltering weather. Players were asked to complete pledge forms before the event to help raise money for this year’s chosen charity, Family Respite Services.

Organizers were also selling food and raffle tickets on Saturday to raise funds.

Family Respite Services helps local families with children with intellectual, physical and mental health disabilities by taking care of the child for a short period of time.

More to come.
