A 62-year-old Leamington man is facing a number of charges after he was caught driving more than 30 kilometres per hour over the speed limit with a suspended licence.
Chatham-Kent police said the man was seen driving at a high rate of speed north on Erieau Road around 9:40 a.m. Wednesday.
Officers clocked the man travelling 96 km/h in a 60 km/h zone and pulled him over.
The 62-year-old Leamington man has been charged with speeding, driving while under suspension and failing to surrender a permit for the vehicle.
His vehicle was towed from the scene and impounded for seven days.
