The toddler discovered floating in a backyard Colchester pond died Sunday night after his family decided to take him off life support.
Timothy Kolar, a 23-month-old Ohio boy, was discovered last week in a pond during a gathering at the Nazarene Christian Congregation church in Colchester. When his father found him, Timothy was floating on his back with no vital signs.
Timothy was first rushed to Leamington hospital in critical condition last Sunday before being airlifted to London. He was later airlifted again to Children’s Hospital of Michigan in Detroit.
Timothy’s family, including three sisters and parents David and Mirta Kolar, are from Brunswick, Ohio. They were in Colchester for the church gathering that brought 250 people from Australia, Ontario and across the U.S.
The worshippers were outside following a service when Timothy’s father realized he was missing. The boy was found in the pond, in the backyard of a home on Clithrow Street next to the church, about 15 minutes later.
More to come.
