A 25-year-old Chatham man is facing numerous firearm charges after a woman was shot in the face with a pellet gun.
The incident occurred in Chatham during the early morning hours of July 14, but it wasn’t until Sunday that a suspect was arrested and charges were laid.
Chatham-Kent police said the female victim underwent medical treatment at the time of the shooting.
The accused man has been charged with careless use of a firearm, pointing a firearm, reckless discharge of a firearm, and assault with a weapon.
He’s been released on a promise to appear at a future court date.
The pellet gun was seized at the time of arrest.
