Six people are in custody after police executed seven search warrants across the city early this morning.
The Windsor police drugs intelligence guns surveillance (D.I.G.S.) unit, along with provincial anti violence strategy (P.A.V.I.S.) officers and Ontario Provincial Police crime enforcement bureau executed the warrants after an 11 month drug trafficking investigation.
The raid involved about 75 officers from Windsor police and OPP including tactical teams and the Windsor police K9 unit.
Search warrants were executed at:
- 60 Hanna St. E.
- 3235 St. Patricks Ave.
- 1330 Giles Blvd. E.
- 2628 Lauzon Rd.
- 2383 Louis Ave.
- 2216 Charl Ave.
- 2559 Tourangeau Rd.
Six people are in custody following the raids and more information is expected to be released later today.
