An 89-year-old Amherstburg man has been charged with uttering threats after allegedly threatening to show up at the town hall with a gun.
“If they didn’t listen to him he threatened he was going to go down to town hall with a gun and make them listen,” Const. Shawn McCurdy said Thursday.
The man was complaining about a storm drain to town staff on the phone Tuesday and was upset the town wasn’t going to fix it properly, McCurdy said.
The man was arrested and two firearms were seized but they are legal firearms so he does not face any firearm-related charges, McCurdy said.
