Pieces of jewelry were the items of choice for a thief (or thieves) who broken into two Tecumseh homes last weekend.
The thefts occurred at two separate residences on Strawberry Drive and Candlewood Drive on Jan. 24.
OPP investigators believe the break-ins happened sometime between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m.
In both cases, the culprit (or culprits) forced open a rear patio door to get inside. The residents weren’t home at the time.
No other items besides the jewelry were taken.
The Essex County OPP crime unit is not disclosing specifics about the stolen jewelry, such as the amount or the value.
Anyone who noticed anything unusual in the neighbourhoods in question is encouraged to call investigators at 519-723-2491.
