A 59-year-old LaSalle man was rushed to a London hospital Tuesday night after he was seriously injured in a car accident in Chatham.
Chatham-Kent police said the accident happened around 5 p.m. in the 22000 block of Charing Cross Road.
Police said the single-vehicle crash happened after the driver lost control and left the roadway, striking the corner of a house and gas main.
The driver was taken to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance for serious injuries but was later transferred to a hospital in London.
Police said the 2006 white Ford Taurus sustained about $6,000 of front-end damage
The collision remains under investigation and anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to call Const. Todd Trahan at 519-355-1092.
