A 53-year-old Windsor man rolled a vehicle into a ditch Saturday and was trapped for more than 30 minutes before emergency crews sawed off the roof to save him.
The man lost control of a 2007 Infiniti SUV around 6:30 p.m. in the westbound lane of E.C. Row Expressway just east of Central Avenue.
Windsor Police Staff Sgt. V. Giampuzzi said there were no other vehicles involved in the accident.
Giampuzzi said the man, who was traveling with his Jack Russell terrier, was transported to Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital.
His injuries are not life threatening, he said.
The Jack Russell escaped uninjured.
Giampuzzi said the accident is still under investigation and the cause of the crash is unknown.
Traffic was backed up in the westbound lane between Central Avenue and Jefferson Boulevard.
